Will a LT1 or LT4 be a pain to drop in my 03 GMC?

I have a 03 full size GMC with the 4.8. I'm wondering if there would be any trouble out of the electrical or fuel systems by dropping an LT1 or LT4 in. I know a guy with a LT1 or LT4 (dont know which) still in the GM crate. If it'll work I'll buy it and wait for my 4.8 to blow. I don't think i could go wrong, $500 for a LT1 long block still in the crate.
 
i know that you can put an lt1 in a s10 real ez gmc full size i dont know but for 500 buy it a used one gos for 800-1000
