Will a LT1 or LT4 be a pain to drop in my 03 GMC?

I have a 03 full size GMC with the 4.8. I'm wondering if there would be any trouble out of the electrical or fuel systems by dropping an LT1 or LT4 in. I know a guy with a LT1 or LT4 (dont know which) still in the GM crate. If it'll work I'll buy it and wait for my 4.8 to blow. I don't think i could go wrong, $500 for a LT1 long block still in the crate.
 
Why would you want to do that?

It would be much easier to put in an 03 6.0 in it than those engines.

Sure, parts are available for those LT engines, But you would need to gut all of the electronics out and start over with all new set up for that new engine.

Unfortunately, GM has set up the main computer ,the ECM 1, which controls the engine monitoring to read and display the Speedometer.
