My friend had the HTC Magic on a vodafone contract before giving it to me. I am using my payandgo o2 sim with web bolt-on and was wondering if I would receive the official android update to 2.1 or 2.2 (or 2.3 if it's a while) when it is released?
I hear that the update is meant to come "OTA" (over the air) at some point and my question realy is if I'll be able to get it like that or will I have to do something else to get it?
This phone is not rooted and I really want to keep it that way if at all possible and do everything legally.
Any information anyone can give about if I can get this update and how I could get it officially would be really really helpful as I like to keep up to date but am new to the android world of updating as I have never done it before.
