Will my carrier, Verizon replace my screen on my android since it broke?

I have had this phone for approximately 6 months and I have insurance so I am assuming they will replace my screen and hopefully fix the phone am I right? The screen is very messed up and you can't see a thing because the majority of it is black and won't respond.

That is what Insurance is for, but you will have to pay the deductible, whatever that amount is.
