Will my LG blue-ray player work with my non-hd Toshib a tv?

I received a free LG blue-ray player, but my 2004 Toshiba TV is not hd. LG tells me I should be able to hook them up, but the picture will not be in HD, which is ok. I just want to stream movies to the player. There is sound, but no picture. Nothing LG has told me to do has done any good. Any suggestions???
 
Yeap you can connect any Blu-Ray dvd to any television. If your television is not HD you would need to use the composite cables. The composite cables are yellow, red and white plugs. Make sure you are plugging the correct input and output.

From your Blu-ray dvd player. Plug the yellow (video out), Red and white (should be audio out)
To your television. Plug the yellow (video in). Red and White should be (audio in).
