I want to love GOD and let my enemy slap me twice because I don't want to take his instructions lightly.
I also want to chop off my hands and take out my eyes if I sin because these are Jesus' actual words.

Will obeying the bible faithfully and literally make me look like a joke?
so....I'm not supposed to obey the bible right..?
 
you keep missing classes and you haven't done your home work for lesson no. 1:

the non Christian really has no logical alternative but to accept that Jesus is God:

“I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.
