Will swimming 50 lengths a week improve my fitness?

I swim 50 lengths (of a 25m pool) a week in 2 sessions and I take a few minute break every 10 lengths. Will this improve my fitness as the only exercise I do (I'm male, 17)
 
If my math is correct that's close to 3.75 miles per week. I would say yes... that's going to help quite a bit! And the bonus is that swimming is much more fun than most forms of exercise!
 
yes very becuase swimming is cardio :)and i swam 100 laps a day when i was lil and i cut soo much time the next season. and since swimming uses every singel muscle in ur body it helps with ur fitness better than any other sport
