will verizon activate a phone bought from a chinese website?

I would like to purchase a droid. some of these chinese websites have them a lot cheaper. are the phones worth buying and will verizon activate the phone?

It it probably won't work I bet its a fake to be honest with you. The Droid for Verizon is only sold in the U.S. there are different Droids but the one for Verizon is U.S. only. Verizon is not an international company as far as I know (you can't use a Verizon phone outside the U.S. without roaming) Try craigslist and you can buy a droid used. Verizon also sells used droids.
