When I turn on my Dell Inspiron 2200 laptop, I receive a message saying "windows could not start up because the following file is missing or corrupt - \windows\system32\config\windows". I have spoken with Dell but unfortunately things are run differently over the phone and the money I am giving them may or may not fix this problem. I have ordered a back up windows CD-ROM as my message on my computer tells me I can try and repair the file using the original CD-ROM.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Or anything that looks familiar to anybody and have suggestions. I cannot boot windows or re-boot anything. Upon running diagnostics I receive another message saying I need to reboot using the factory "Dell Utilities and Drivers" disc.
