With the popularity of the sidekick, how come other cellphone companies...

...don't copy its design? I assumed it was because Sharp owns the pantent to that kind of swivel technology, but I'm not sure. Anyone know the real reason?
 
Well, microsoft owns the sidekick now.

I have owned a sidekick for years. Drives me nuts that they don't release the information to be able to write your own apps.

Touch screens have really become popular, as for the keyboard design check out the G1 from Tmobile and Google, I think it's going to be the next phone I get.
