remote start system in a MAZDA MPV 96? without a remote ..how d'ya get an FCC ID for the remote locking and remote start system in a MAZDA MPV 96 .
I dont think the remote I used ( now stolen ) was a factory one. So how do I go about getting the FCC ID from the vehicle itself ..any idea.?

You may have to go to a Mazda dealer with the VIN and they should be able to give you the code. If this was an aftermarket add onn you will have to contact the former owner to find out where they had it installed and do the same.If it s factory they will be able to get you a new remote point it at the car and it will download the info into the new one.You may want to think about getting the code changed as someone can now get into your vehicle and drive it off or steal your s--t!!
