Working while traveling?

After I graduate high school this year, I'm packing up and moving to either the UK or Australia for the summer. I have potential places to stay in each, but I'd like to make some money while I stay there. I have plenty of savings from my current job to get me by, but i'd feel much more comfortable with some income. I have a job teaching English in costa rica the following fall, but how do I find a job with no college degree? I have no problem just waiting tables or something, but where do I ask? Websites? Books? Personal experiences? I don't know anyone who has done this and can't seem to find an informational source not centered around "studying abroad."

You cannot work in either the UK or Australia without a work visa and those are impossible to get . The UK is a part of the European union and E. U. rules prohibit Americans from working there. The only kind of visa you can get that allows you to work temp. in Australia is a work and holiday visa and that is for a year. Be sure to check out that job teaching English in costa rica to be sure it is legitimate and legal. you need a work visa to do that and it would be highly unusual to get one without a college degree and an ESL certificate.
