Hi i am going on a cruise in a few weeks and i am sooooooo exited . . . but theeres one thing i am so worried that my 88 year old grandfather or anyone in my family is going to die I cant get this thought out of my head and its making me stressed out i have already started packing just so i can get the feeling that eerything is ok and were still going i would hate for this trip to be canceled and that is my main worry! i need help with this!!!! i want everyone to go have have a great time !

Just keep your phone on throughout out the cruise. And remember, you being on holiday would not help stop any deaths. People have their time to go, and it is highly unlikely they will whilst you're away. And plus, my great grandma's 96, and still going strong!

I don't know how great cell phone service is in the ocean or wherever you're going on your cruise but try calling everyday or maybe hire someone to go to your grandfathers house just to make sure everything is ok

DO any of your family have an "intimate diagnosis"?
Things can happen most often when we don't expect them - but we can live of lives want for the worst or we can go out and live life and deal with what happens when it happens
I traveled to China with my then 80 year old father who had major orthopedic complications and a bad heart. I investigated the what ifs ( what do I do if he gets very ill - what do I do if I have to get a body back to the states - how do I get word back to family if things are going bad- etc.)
Maybe if you look into how family will contact you if something happens and what then can be done to get you home - you will better because you have a "contingency plan". The great thing about contingency plans is they give you the security of knowing what to do - rather than having ot figure it out after the fact and then you very very seldom have to use them.
