Would a 2006-07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo be a good choice for my first SUV?

This would be my first SUV and I have read a lot of reviews. A lot of reviews complain about mechanical problems and I'm a little wary about purchasing one. I am drawn to Grand Cherokees mainly for their style and price, but I have yet to test drive one.

I think that is a great choice for a vehicle especially if it is in the price range you are looking for. Jeeps are pretty good vehicles, they just don't get fantastic gas mileage. They are stylish and useful for a lot of things. Also, with that range of years, you will still have a good number of years of life left in that vehicle.
