Would a car pass an MOT if you cannot lock the car from the inside?

This is a new Nissan Micra courtesy car 08 (I know it won't have MOT) but my point is the locks inside are not working so while my baby son 20 months was in the front seat (as it is a three door) he opened the car door at traffic lights and I clipped a post while turning a corner as the door flew open and dented the courtesy car, I had not realised they were not working until this point, and double checked lights says locked doors are not locked. Can anyone give advice? feel unsafe in this car. My own car got stolen and so this is what the insurance have given my while waiting for my own car. Horrible unsafe car.
and before anyone says lock it manually you cannot do that either.
I know that child locks are inspected on MOTs according to goverment website any mechanics here?

There's usually a little tab on the edge of the door to engage the child locks, otherwise a child can open it whether it's locked or not. The locks aren't part of the MOT but a car that's under three years old doesn't have to be MOT'd anyway.

EDIT: Someone's a bit free with the thumbs down but where's your answer?

Yes the locking mechanism has no say in the mot test. The test includes the testing of the
Tires
Window Wipers
Lights
All External body fittings
Mechanics of the car (which includes - Exhaust pipe, Engine Petrol tank etc)
Only certain internal features matter and most old cars don't have internal locking anyway.

im 99% yes it would just like a car would not fail an mot for not having central locking or child locks....
