My first car was a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro with 165,500 miles, it was $3,000 and I paid it all down. It was great for the first few months, and then repairs started accumulating (around 300 dollars per month, up to 1700 dollars one month alone for a new clutch, new front brakes, and new oxygen sensors). I babied the car, but even then I had to shell out a lot of money just for scheduled maintenance and new strut bars (which go regularly on Audi's because of the great suspension and ride). They're very meticulous, and parts are very expensive.
All Audi's also require 93 octane (the expensive stuff) gas.
I had to get something else... I still own the car and drive it often, but I bought a brand new car with a warranty for less money per month on average than I've put into the Audi. Now the Audi has around 195,000 miles.
If you don't mind the expensive repairs and expensive maintenance, the car is absolutely awesome and I had so many memories with it.
