...and after 3 years of litigation and countersuits, each iPhone owner would get about 45 cents. You're better off taking the issue to your Congressperson.
And I agree with the above answerer. If an update caused the problem, an update can fix it. Have you ever known Apple to acknowledge a single problem with any of its devices? No, they just eventually fix them. MicroSoft does the same thing with their software except they don't fix it or they completely rework their OS and call it exciting and revolutionary instead of saying it's replacing a lousy system.

If one takes a little trip over to the apple iphone 3g forums you will see 2 topics at the top titled, "No wifi after upgrade to 3.1.3", and "Strange WiFi problem on iPhone 3G after 3.0 update" which are growing daily. Basically, upon updating to the latest 3.1.3 firmware many users are unable to connect to WiFi networks. Keep in mind many people are out of their warranties and Apple, who has yet to even acknowledge the issue, has the "tough shit" attitude. What appears to be even worse is that man people, including myself have tried restoring and reverting back to a previous firmware version but the wifi still wont work. It seems that the 3.1.3 firmware did not just temporarily cripple the WiFi, but has in fact permanently damaged the chip within the iPhone. SOOO, if Apple doesn't step up, and it is confirmed that 3.1.3 has indeed broken thousands, tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of iPhones, would there be a strong case against them?

meh, i have a 3g, i dont use wifi much and i know they will fix it soon enough, if there is a problem like that they will fix it.
