I am a 6' 3" 230lb 19 year old in university. I want to get into biking and am looking at sport bikes. being a student price is not much of a option. I wanted a 250cc but in my area there are no used ones and the cheapest new one is 5k (ninja). I have looked into some 600cc that are used and cheaper (2.5k-3k) and think that they would be the better buy. I just want to know if i guy my size with minimal riding experience could handle this well.
Thanks

Learning on a 600 is really a dumb idea. You make mistakes when learning, and the mistakes on a 600 can really hurt. That's what 250s are for; they're the best learning bikes. But if there aren't any for sale in your market, you might have to suck it up and prepare for some seriously painful learning on a 600. I recommend skateboard gloves, elbow pads, and butt-cheek protectors for the first year. It takes that long to be a good rider.

At your size a 250 is not a good idea.If you are smart and don't ride like a loony you'll do fine.
