by starving I mean by living on water, B-complex vitamins and fruits+ veggies, small healthy snaks if I really need to, and no meals
I mean doing on of them, either starving or the other two
*one of them
oh and living on gum too

Don't starve yourself!!! This will make your body go into "storage mode" which means that it will feed off your muscles and any food you do eat will be stored mostly as fat. Eating the healthy snacks, B-vitamins, fruits and veggies are the best option, as long as they are portioned at least five times a day. This will keep your metabolism going all day. Also, you should stop eating four hours before you plan to go to sleep. In my personal experience, 80% of weight loss is diet, and the other 20% is exercise. I would recommend going to this website: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm and filling everything out as close to the truth as possible. When I was trying to lose weight, I found my basal metabolic rate (BMR), which are the amount of calories your body needs daily. Then calculate how many calories you have eaten throughout the day and subtract that from your BMR. This is the amount of calories you have burned throughout the day. Then, based on those numbers, coupled with your calorie burning goal, you can determine if you need to run a few miles on the treadmill. For example, very roughly, if your BMR is 2000 and you ate 1000 calories, you would be burning 1000 calories. Three and a half days of doing this would drop a pound of fat, a pound of fat being approximately 3500 calories. These are very rough numbers and you will probably be burning much more than that because your BMR is assuming that you lay in bed 24 hours a day, which most people don't do. This will help you psyching yourself into seeing results faster. However, this website I provided makes the numbers easier by giving you a healthy amount of calories you should eat to lose weight. Sorry for the long response, but the more informed, the better chances you will lose weight healthily without damaging parts of your body that could lead to a massive slow down in metabolism later in life. Hope this helps and good luck with your weight loss!
