Not an intense mountain trail (where I would obviously use my mountain bike) but on light dirt trails with the occasional root or rock here and there. I would swap tires from slicks to something a little fatter with more grip, but my biggest concern is the impact some bumps might have on a light road bike and if they would damage it. It also concerns be because I will be commuting on this bike and there will be some potholes and cracks and curbs I will have to deal with.
Is that too much for a road bike to handle? I considered a cyclocross bike but I do plan to race in the future.
