Would It Help Reduce Unemployment If We Adopted The Aussie/US Approach To education?

Unemployment has reached two million and will no doubt continue to grow. A large portion of those stats is made up of bored, demotivated young people. Would it be a good idea to adapt the Australian and American way of educating; keeping kids at school until they're 18. where they'll get a much higher level of education and can then go straight to uni?

This country's standard of education is abysmal and needs to improve dramatically. Plus, we need to reduce the dole queues.

If we sent all the ILLEGAL immigrants back to where they came from (a very difficult task) then that would open up about 2 million jobs for LEGAL American citizens!

might help, but also send home all the eastern europeans, so that theres enough jobs for the english people.
