Would you buy a cell phone at Walmart?

I have a two year contract with Verizon near completion and I want to renew and Upgrade my phone to a DROID 2. Verizon wants $199 but I notice that I can get the same Droid 2 by Motorola for $49.99 after rebates at Walmart and can carry the same contract terms with Verizon. Has anyone dealt with buying a cellular phone from Walmart? Why the huge difference in prices?

i actually work in the cell phone center at wal-mart and this is why the price difference. When you deal with the corp. store, they use mail-in rebates and in-store rebates. At wal-mart, they just issue a price difference without all the rebate hassle. IF you get an associate who knows what they're doing, then it can be very quick and almost painless. If you do choose to go that route, just be sure to double-check your plans and add-on options afterwards to make sure you get everything you want.
