in my english class this term we're looking at science fiction and we need 2 movies to watch
so i was thinking pan's labyrinth...
 
I think I call it Fantasy before Sci fi, but it probably could pass for it
 
Its in the science fiction section of blockbuster lol, cause I rented it the other day! If that helps!
 
Pans labyrinth could be considered a psychological fantasy.

Some good "pure" Sci-fi flicks would be "The Island", "Equilibrium", "Sunshine", and "Flowers for Algernon".
 
Partially, you can't put a movie into one single category only.
 
Pan's Labyrinth is classified as a fantasy film. Science fiction more along the lines of aliens, machines like AVP and Star Trek. Hope this helps.
