...other team stopped trying? I keep hearing how it's an unwritten rule in baseball to steal bases and try incredibly hard when up by a lot of runs.
But pretend you are playing baseball in a Little League game.........high school level players. Your team is down 10 runs in the 4th inning (playing 7.......pretend slaughter rule is not in effect). The other team is noticeably not trying as hard. They are just swinging at balls and really just trying to get the game over with because it's "rude" in baseball to keep going at it.
Wouldn't you feel offended? Personally, I believe the players should be trying hard through the whole game, stealing bases, playing good baseball.
What are your thoughts on the unwritten rule that I am talking about?
