XBOX 360 on freezing gameplay?

ok i was p[laying rainbowsixvegas2 not to long ago and it was loading the gamplay screen and my friend invited me to a game on the same one while it was loading i joined the game that he was on and it froze i held the middle button in on the controller and it did nothing. and about a week ago i had the same problem but in the dash board while i was just sitting their talking to my friends it froze and once Agni i held the middle button in and it did nothing...... and one more question every time i go to Sign in it tells me to check my connections i go to configure connections to my modem and it tells me you cant connect to xbox live then i go all the way back and do it all over again and it loggs in fine wtf im i doing wrong plzzz help it is driving me crazy and just to add i got the xbox 360 from last xmas and it was brand new from wal-mart can some one help plzzzz
 
I personallydont know how to fix your xbox problem but what you can do is send the piece of crap Mircrosoft calls a "Game system" back and get your money back and spend it on a Wii or PS3. You will be more satisfied. My Wii or Ps3 has had no problems so far. My Xbox got the dam Ring of Death and broke one of my CD's. I dont think you should fix your xbox, just return it.
 
Possibly the server is down. Maybe your Internet is down. I wouldn't worry about any problem reoccurring though this happens frequently.
 
this is a common problem and if you contact xbox they will pay to have it picked up, fixed and shipped back to you. this happened to my husband, and he had it back to new in a few days.
 
make sure you don't have the RROD (red ring of death), and if you do, make sure you send it to Microsoft to repair their cheaply made console. I own a 360 as well, and thankfully, haven't had any problems yet, but I know many people do. So your only choice is to send it back (if its still under warranty) or buy a new one. Sorry for your troubles...perhaps this is why we should pay the extra $200 for the PS3--> it has built-in wifi and free online play. Well, time to go out and obtain another one...Good luck!
 
Take It Back To Microsoft, It Happened To Me To, They Gave Me a New One But It Kept Freezing So I Hold The Console Power Button For 6 Sec And Still Freezes After. Trust Me It Will Get Worst And Eventually Lead To The Three Rings. So Call Back That They Gave You A Defected 360 And You Want It Repaired. Don't Listen To People, The Xbox 360 Is A Great Console It Just That It Happens A Lot Thats Why 3 Rings & Freezing Problems Are Free To Repair You Don't Have To Pay Anything. Unless You On Purposely Broke It Or Etc.
 
did you get the 2 year guarantee??
if you did then just go to wally world and get another one.
or send it to microsoft they will send you it repaired or a new one or a refurbished one

well one of the things is what conditions has it been in like hit over stomped on whatever but after that it could be the intercolant system but after that i don't know
