on the box it says blu-ray disc/dvd player??????

i know regular ones don't work but i have never tried a blue ray dvd so i though i would ask.

I was wondering what stores (online or otherwise) would give me the most for my used blue-ray dvds. I have: Full Metal Jacket and Stir of Echoes.

I've tried burning some files onto DVD and it just transfers the files to DVD. Before it would burn the files onto DVD and I could watch the movies on my TV. What's going on?

okay so my big black samsung usb has some on my dvds on it and they worked on the tv and now when i plug into the dvd and watch one of them you can hear the sound but the screen is black because it say's no codec support. can you help me fix this or give me a link to get a codec thing. I was trying to record a tv show on my Toshiba D-R410 DVD recorder. The show finished recording but when I tried to view the tv show on my PCs DVD drive and it can't be recognized. Am I missing a step to make it work on other DVD drives and players or is it even possible to do this?
