A friend is out of town, and I wanted to move her car for her. I couldn't get it out of Park. Foot on brakes, chrome button on shift knob pushed in. Shifter locked in P. Correct key as the car starts. Am I missing something?

Hey, I've got a 75 plymouth cricket, same thing as a dodge colt of same year basically. It had a 1.6L in it but I got my hands on a 2L with tranny. I had the engine and tranny swapped out because the 1.6L had no power going up hills. Now I blew the tranny on the 2L. I still have the old engine...
