I'm wanting to get home videos onto my computer. Instead of buying Dazzle or similar software, I plan on burning the videos to a disc and then upload the disc to my computer. What do I need and how to I transfer the videos to a disc?

Should you buy a converter and if so, which one? Or should you just buy the software and use your computer to do it?

I use a pc that runs on Vista 64bit. Is there any software that will allow me to copy old vhs tapes to my pc and edit them ? Most of the products on sale will work with Vista 32 but not Vista 64bit.
