When it's closed, my Ericsson's screen usually flickers on with the time when I press the volume buttons, or any other buttons for that matter; as of today, it's stopped doing that. I can still unlock it by using the smart keys, but I really miss having the time a click away. How do I fix this?

So I uploaded a song onto to my phone and i wanted to use it as a ringtone, but my phone won't allow it. i uploaded it onto my phone using this sony ericsson pc suite. is there some way i can make my phone use it as a ringtone?
