This question is clean, cut, and somewhat detailed. Both chargers are from different dealerships. long story short for the trade in.

My pops is trying to sell his car that his ex just left with him because she doesn't want it anymore. The cars in his name. So i myself wanted to by a dodge charger but i told myself il just buy his car to help him out since he is backed up on bills. Only problem is that the monthly bill is $375 a month, a bit steep for a college student. What i figured id do is trade in the Altima for a Charger and see if the payments can be lowered so that way everyone wins.

Here are the information for the cars:

2004 Nissan Altima 2.4S
Automatic Transmission
58,317 miles
Estimated KBB value of $7,995

2006 Dodge Charger R/T v8 RWD
Automatic Transmission
78,000 miles
Dealership price $13,900

Q1: In the Trade in, how much would i be paying for the charger, including taxes and fees?

Q2: Same question as Q1 but the dodge charger becomes a 2006 SXT with 51,000 miles for $7,999?

Q3: Whats the difference between the KBB and the NADA?

Q4: Which ones do most dealerships go by?
Seeing how i need to build credit (another question for another time) im using my dads credit. All answers and personal opinions are very much welcomed!!!

well...
Q1 that depends on the dealer, where you live and what fees that dealer includes.
2. same.
3. not much honestly
4. they normally don't use either one. most of the one's i've been to have some kind of other websiteor book they use to look up the values, KBB and NADA aren't always as accurate as everyone thinks especially with this f'd up economy...
