I have a 1995 Honda accord and one day the car just died. I was able to start it when someone jumped me off, but as soon as the jumper cables were removed the car died again. I replace the alternator, and the battery, but the for some reason the car will still not charge up battery and dies within a few minutes. Does anyone know what may be causing the alternator to not charge the battery?
Also I've tested the cable from the alternator to the battery, and have a solid connection, but when the car is started the alternator isn't putting out any juice. It's a brand new alternator that I had checked before I left the auto parts store

It could be the alternator you bought was a rebuilt one and it was bad or the voltage regulator could be bad or you might just have a bad battery.

Replace the battery cables, as one of them is allowing the battery to bleed off power. Or disconnect the battery cables are start checking other circuits and seeing what is still drawing power when the key is off, and such.
