1997 Chevrolet K2500 Seat Won't Stay In Place?

I have a 1997 K2500 and the front seat (the sliding bench that is for the driver and the middle passenger) won't stay forward. It always slides back. I do have two springs for the seat that came with when I purchased the truck but I don't know where they go or if that is the fix. This is very important because the seat sliding back, especially in a stick shift is a safety hazard. Please followup,
