So next year I'm going overseas to Italy for 6 weeks with possibly a few weeks touring outside of this country. I am 20 years old, Australian, female and although I have been planning this with a friend, it looks as though I will be travelling alone because she is being so slack.
I know its a huge deal to travel so far alone and whatever but I feel like I can do it but NO ONE believes in me and so many people are directly or indirectly trying to talk me out of it, to the point where I haven't even told my best friends. How should I deal with these people and not let their words get to me? This is something I have wanted for a LONG time, so it's kinda like a dream come true.
Question 2: I have an awesome 'e-friend' in Italy, we have been friends for over year and have talked nearly every dy since we met. Anyway, I told him that I was planning totravel there and asked if he was excited that we could finally meet (because he is always saying how it sucks that we live so far apart and how he can't wait to meet me) and he replies 'so so... The important thing is that you are happy'
I asked him what he meant by that and he didn't reply so I sent him a ' -.- ' face and he replied with a smiley face the next day. What do you think he means?
I mean, I'm not making the trip to see him, he would get a week at most out of my adventure, I have wanted to do this long before meeting him, so what do you think his deal is?
