I have a 454 in a boat that supports a cast rotating assembly 8.3 to 1 compression, comp cams xtreme energy cam 278H with a non-striped 6-71 blower. I am running 1/2 pitch pulleys, top is 40 teeth, bottom is 37 teeth, being underdrive. Can I safely run a 39, 38 or 37 on the top??? Or is that too risky since it is a cast assembly?
