I had the rubber boot work it's way loose from the TV cable and lodge itself in the pivot point #2 of the kick down Valve. I don't know whether the kick down valve was Wedged open or closed. I was having a shifting problem in that it would not come out of first gear. I also want to know if I need to squish the kick down valve in before I put the pan back on. Also, should I replace the Torque converter Clutch signal switch since I thought that may have been the problem . So after all this, when I put it all back together what do I need to do before I seal the pan back on it. Already changed the filter. At point # 1 is where that rubber cylindrical boot came from. # 3 is the Valve . The Trans Housing is the cut a way black line at the to of the trans. Thanks.

It was stuck open and no, changing the switch is not necessary although you are there right now. Add fresh fluid and you should be done. Now when it comes to adjusting the TV cable, follow the instructions.
