a career in animation / video games / animation film making?

hi. im an indian. i read that vancouver is the video game capital of the world... does this sync with the animation capital of the world? if yes, are there any courses in vancouver? which is the best animation school in vancouver? or in usa/india?

i intend to finally join an animation film making company or work for a video game company like EA sports...

i have no practical education in computers - however, i am a quick grasper in learning software, whatever kind it be and i am extremely proficient with my computer operating skills.

additional info: i am 27 years old and have a family to support... will i have enough money out of this career? how much time would it be before i could start earning good money?

It depends on what kind of animation you want to do. Many video game companies are based in vanada, like vancouver. I know that for example, Ubisoft is.

Other than that, it is really spread out for 3d animation jobs. You can practically find 3d animation studios all over the place.

As for animation for film, the quote "animation capital of the world" would be located in burbank California. It is home to Disney animation, Pixar, Dreamworks, Nicktoons, and even more. Animation was practically born in burbank, so you may want to look into that.
