A number in my juke cell phone isn't showing up at all?

A contact in my juke cell phone isn't showing up at all? it's saved, it just doesnt come up when he(the number) texts me.
my dad said to program my phone, so i did, and it didn't work.
and i add it twice too- doesn't work
any help?!
