A question about people's obsessions with celebrities?

Okay, I am just wondering why so many people are obsessed with celebrities. And why some people obsess over a pregnant celebrity so badly. I mean are people so unhappy with their lives that they have to obsess over other people ? I mean millions of people get pregnant, what is so special about one particular celebrity. Anyways, I wish I knew why people obsess over them so much..what is so special with them
 
why people do that because they can get more poplualar so the can get a lot of money i think it dumb to that but they do it anf they also do that so they can stay with there man so something my friend told me that

Like jamie lynn spears pregnant at 16 and everyone makes a big deal about it.

Yet there are thousands of other pregnant 16 year olds that no one cares about

Like nick jonas has diabetes everyone cares about him
Millions of other people has diabetes and the jonas fans don't care about them
