A response to one of the biggest christian arguments?

What if your wrong and when you die you go to hell? Well, christians who say this, what if your wrong and the hindus are right, and you get reborn as an ant that gets stepped on. Just saying, that phrase can be twisted any way you want it to.

I mean no offense to christianity or christians, just tired of hearing that.
 
well then after i get squashed i would hope that i get reincarnated into something better. there is a way to truly know who is right...Pray and ask God who is right. or ask him if he exists. theres a plan!
 
What's your problem? Your argument makes too much sense to appropriately answer...wait, let me grab a bible verse that sounds good.
 
This argument is only about risks. It doesn't prove anything. It simply states that you need to keep it in mind before living your whole life rejecting God.

We say that God exists, and that He has established a religion, on earth, to be followed by those who want happiness in eternal life. We say that the religion is true, and that those who refuse to accept God, and to love and obey Him, by their own free will, risk eternal separation from God.

This is what we sincerely believe. You are free to accept it or not.

If you do not accept it, and we are right, then you have risked your salvation.

If we are wrong, then we have lost nothing, because our souls will not be alive to worry about it. If we are reincarnated as an ant, and are then stepped on, then we will be dead, and not be worrying about it either.

You have to decide if the risk is worth it. It doesn't prove that we are right, but only that the risk is huge.
 
Personally i find this a weak argument at best. Believing in something "just in case" you might go to hell is just not right and won't convince anyone.

I used to think about that when i was a kid. Like i better believe in God "just in case" but i don't think that is right. Or that God would appreciate that.
 
None taken, but I never use such tactics. Very few people are argued into the faith and anyone who bases said faith on fear or hedging their bets is setting themselves up for failure.
