Abortion is Wrong

I have 2 children and 5 grandchildren and I would go to extremes to protect them, if I could.

However that has nothing to do with abortion.

I will forgive you the sin of calling me a soldier, I served in the US Marine Corps.

PS that was humor, there is a lot of rivalry between the different branches of the armed forces. My avatar is the USMC Rifle Expert badge is what I was qualified at when I got out of the Marines in

1974.

Dang, that was a long time ago.

The man is not required to become an incubator for 9 months.

The pro-choice position is that a woman has the right to make choices about her own body. There is nothing in that argument that requires a man's consent. This is the 21st century, not the 19th.

well good, thank you for your service... perhaps not enough people tell you that.

My point in asking was because of the avatar, but also the point that you were one who chose to fight for the weak, those would couldn't fight for themselves, or something else along those lines.. or at least you hoped that it was for a good/the right cause. This is how I feel about a child that would one day grow up to be a real human being, but now gets no choice on what happens to it.

But it's the man's child too and part of him, so he gets no choice even though both were involved in the act because the woman has to carry the child? You don't think she knows what might happen when she decides to sleep with someone?

--------> + 0= SURPRISE! hey girls, are you looking at this? Plan ahead then

It's not a child and it's not 'part of him', it's a zygote, then a fetus, then a child.

And no, the man doesn't get a say in the decision, because it's her body.

Why do you get to choose what happens with a woman's body? She may know that she can get pregnant, she also probably knows that she can get an abortion. What exactly do you propose here, that men should choose what happens with the fetus?

The same as killing the first born? Gotta love that "protecting innocents" consistency

Talking like someone that's never going to have to be a woman or carry child.

Women have had the cacky end of the stick for millenia (no thanks to religion).
How about we cut them some slack and let them decide?
If you don't want a woman aborting your child you are absolutely free to avoid sex your whole life. It's one pf the outcomes of sex.

What does this have to do with that? See, this is the point I make many times about how people try to bring my religion, or any into an argument when i'm preaching to no one about it. When did I bring up religion in this thread? When did I say it? It's interesting you have nothing else to grasp, so you try to put that out there. IMO these are two different things. One of which i'm sure you have little understanding of therefore are hardly qualified to preach to anyone about.

Oh I see, so the man gets "screwed" instead right? And how about the Black slaves and their families? They didn't have it as rough right? Or how about the Jews? Yeah, compared to women having to have a kid they had it easy huh? You can make that argument for anything.

If you want to get theological ill knock you into next week...figuratively of course

Once you remove religion it's easy - it's a cluster of cells up to a certain point in time therefore not "life" as defined so therefore about able without undue concern

I'll just leave that to your own ego then. Interesting the guy who trains people to avoid fights in real life, wants to start them in the fake one no?

I believe it is not a child until it has reached a certain point of development. I not exactly sure what the cross over point is but to me it has to do with it being able to survive on it's own or with minimal medical existence.

First trimester - not a child
Second trimester - gets fuzzy
Third trimester - is a child or close enough.

Of course this is just my opinion.

Reread and see where I said let's fight.....ill wait...

Find it? Of course not because I didnt say it

Even more interesting a man of "faith" becoming enraged and distancing himself from something that you previously said gave meaning and definition to your life

Address the issue I raised not the one I didn't - I can do without dealing with temper tantrums online as my 2 yr old gives me enough of them at home
