Acer 4755G laptop bluetooth not working?

When i switched the laptop bluetooth on it could not detect my handphone bluetooth and could not send any file, but my handphone could detect and send file to my laptop. Why is that?

go through the settings / connectivity on the phone to find the Bluetooth settings in the phone, turn on Bluetooth and turn on detection or 'find me' setting which usually lasts about 60 seconds.

most phones have it either switched off or none detectable. when you switch it in the phone the computers Bluetooth should be able to see the phone and you can send or sync the devices.

Same here for me. i have already installed Atheros Bluetooth driver. When i installed broadcom driver (included in acer driver dvd) it says device not installed.
please help.
