Advice on torrents and how to use them?

Ok im new but i heard of these before. Where can i get them? Does anyone who uses torrents for a long time now, help me out. I don't want new games but games like Fate and other minor and old games. Are there any experienced down-loaders out there that can help me out? I don't want viruses either by the way.
 
well if you don't want viruses don't download anything...
I mean everything CAN have a virus attached if you download it..... so depending what or where you download torrents from it might contain a virus...

Get a good anti virus program first, then get Utorrent to manage the .torrent files you can download from different sites (yes guys there are also LEGAL torrents out there xD) and then you can download the games or whatever you need via peer2peer (similar to the old edonky stuff where you had your hashkey f.e. edk:133333333333333337)
 
Alright well im gonna start off with the whole pirating stuff is bad and dont do it liability thing . Pirating is bad and dont do it. that being said you can use torrents for all sorts of non-"illegal" things. and they are a great way for sharing files quickly over the internet. ThePiratesBay.org is a great place to get them from its a fairly simple search engine. after submiting your search look for the file that looks the most like what your looking for youll also want the one with the most people (Seeding) it will appear on the right of the download . check the comments below to make sure its not a virus (which are rare btw) and click download. this only downloads the torrent now you need to extract it with one other program. Utorrent is an excellent one http://www.utorrent.com/ once you have that downloaded open the torrent it should open up your torrenting program continue and it will start downloading . now heres the part you gotta watch for as soon as the program gets done downloading it will begin (seeding) which is using your computer to help others download. if you are downloading copywrited material youll want to stop seeding as soon as possible right click and select stop . now a few seconds seeding isnt bad but you dont want to forget and leave it seeding for hours . hope this helps alot
