Ok here is the deal. Ive got a speaker system hooked up to my laptop and it started making a really annoying high pitch scratchy sound. The sound is not always the same like it hisses then scratches then buzzes then pops. It's really annoying. I have two speaker boxes (with 1 10 inch, 1 8 inch, and 1 5 in speaker in each) for the treble sounds and two 18 inch sub woofers in one box. However, the noise is only coming from the treble speakers and there is only a low hum through the subs, which you can barely even hear. Everything is wired through a mixer, and to an independent amp for the subs and a less powerful amp for the tweeter speaker boxes. No matter what i do, the sound will not go away, EVEN IF THE VOLUME IS ON MUTE. I really doubt it is the sound card, as the laptop is a bran new (1 week old) asus model G73J.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
