Any good iPad apps for university students?

I'm a Canadian 18-year-old girl off to university this Fall :) I'm probably going to be getting an iPad for school, and I want to keep it strictly for school (no Angry Birds or anything like that ... maybe for my iPhone). I'm just wondering which apps are the best (and preferably, cheapest) for university students?

Specifically, what's a great note-taking app that allows me to type out the notes (I've seen a couple that allow you to write the notes ... I have horrible penmanship, and I'm a fast typer)?

Honestly for notes I just use the notes app that comes built-in with my iPad because it is the easiest and I like it the best out of all the note-taking apps that I have tried so far. Also use the reminders app as a planner, because you can easily check things off as you go. Also, I suggest buying a stylus touch pen and getting a drawing app so that you can recreate any models or diagrams you see in class. I found it to be very helpful in psychology. Especially when I had to draw a detailed brain, it was very helpful. Also there are some textbook apps that are helpful because you may be able to get the eBook for your class for cheaper than the actual textbook. Hope this helped some (:
