Are all Sony Ericsson Fast Port cables for stereo headsets the same sound wise?

I own the HPM 77, but the 'fast Port' section of the cable is faulty. I found another fast port cable from an old phone, but this is from an inferior headset( I think it was the HPM 66) but it works ok.

I am an audiophile and I am trying to work out out if all the 'fast port sections' of the SE headsets are essentially the same. Or will one fast port cable from a high end SE headsets give better quality than 'better audio quality' than say another fast port cable from a lower end model.

Because as I understand it its the actual 'earphone section' of the headset that determines the quality of one headset over another. But if I am wrong can somebody put me in the right direction please.
