Are people so cruel to celebrities they wish they would die,etc?

I mean i hear people say i hate him or her. I wish he or she would die. You don't even know the person. Why would people say something like that are they Ignorant or....... People really need to mature up. It's pretty sad to see what people have become.
Intense- When did i ever say for someone to die?
