Are religious people silly for arguing over whose religion is true when it’s...

...obvious they are all bogus? They’re just like kids arguing over whose comic book hero is the best, right? Are these “kids” ever going to grow up and accept that the truth is not in the bible, or the Koran, or any other moldy old holy book; the truth is in science?

Intelligent religious people wouldn't waste their time arguing about whose religion is true, and many of us are scientists. There goes your one-note-Charlie argument.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, promiscuity,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, rivalry, jealously, outbursts of anger, quarrels, conflicts, factions,
Gal 5:21 envy, murder, drunkenness, wild partying, and things like that. I am telling you now, as I have told you in the past, that people who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.

Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543)
Copernicus was the Polish astronomer who put forward the first mathematically based system of planets going around the sun. He attended various European universities, and became a Canon in the Catholic church in 1497. His new system was actually first presented in the Vatican gardens in 1533 before Pope Clement VII who approved, and urged Copernicus to publish it around this time. Copernicus was never under any threat of religious persecution - and was urged to publish both by Catholic Bishop Guise, Cardinal Schonberg, and the Protestant Professor George Rheticus. Copernicus referred sometimes to God in his works, and did not see his system as in conflict with the Bible.

When it's simple internet arguments, it's silly.

When they're blowing themselves up and killing each other en-mass, then it turns into a horrible tragedy that could be avoided with worldwide education.

No, because being a born again Christian is not bogus. Jesus Christ can change your life:

Jesus said, "Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36) The way Christ makes us free, the 1st time the word is used, also means set at liberty from the dominion of sin. The 2nd time the word free is used, it also means of one who ceases to be a slave. Hallelujah! Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If we truly follow Him, we will no longer be dominated by nor slaves of sin.

Now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. (Romans 6:22) ~ That means you do not have everlasting life at the end until you are set free from sin now, while living a holy life.

Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (John 8:12) That means Jesus is the One who shows us how to live in this world. If we truly follow Him, we will have been literally set free from the bondage of sin. Hallelujah! The word walk also means to live, to regulate one's life, to conduct one's self. The word darkness is also used of ignorance of divine things and its associated wickedness and the resultant misery in hell. The word light also means of truth and its knowledge together with the spiritual purity associated with it, the power of understanding especially moral and spiritual truth.

God, who "will render to each one according to his deeds", eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness -- indignation and wrath, tribulation (affliction, trouble) and anguish (distress, extreme affliction), on every soul of man who does evil,.. but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good... For there is no partiality (no respect of persons = it doesn't matter who you are) with God. For as many as have sinned without law (people today who miss or wander from the path of uprightness and honor) will also perish without law. (Romans 2:6-12)

Are you going to grow up and realise that us here fighting over which religion or no religion is right is stupid. Why are we all trying to prove it? Why are we trying to convert each other.
