Are those cool tactical boots good for hiking and running around in muddy wet trails?

Yeah, I need some good boots and saw those and thought they come up a bit high, but it might be good because it rains here all winter, doesn't get that cold, and the trails get muddy. However, it looks like everyone tucks in their pants into the boot. Has anyone tried them out?Are they comfortable for a long day(s) of travel?
