Are U.S. Secondary Schools Like The TV Show "Saved By The Bell" (1989 - 2000)?

I am not an American and my only experience to American culture is through Peter Engel's hit TV show "Saved By The Bell" (1989 - 2000).

So, I have always wondered if American high schools are like SBTB?
 
No, not at all. I don't really know what schools elsewhere are like, but I imagine they are pretty similar to American schools.
