you just take it without questioning if it is true? that doesn't sound like some sort of scam to you?

Once Christians receive the the Holy Spirit in their lives, they receive spiritual gifts that prove the validity of Jesus' teachings.

1 Corinthians 12:8-10

8Some of us can speak with wisdom, while others can speak with knowledge, but these gifts come from the same Spirit. 9To others the Spirit has given great faith or the power to heal the sick 10or the power to work mighty miracles. Some of us are prophets, and some of us recognize when God's Spirit is present. Others can speak different kinds of languages, and still others can tell what these languages mean. :close look:

Which religion? Buddha says to question everything. Judaism encourages questioning, as long as you live by the ethic of reciprocity. Right action is far more important than right belief in Judaism. I've yet to meet the Hindu that doesn't have a questing and questioning intellect. Perhaps you're equating ALL religions with Christianity and Islam. That's sad.

Try questioning an Atheist..

A non-belief which leaves no place for doubt is not a non-belief; it is a superstition.

Some people DON'T question religion. Apparently those people are somehow confusing not questioning religion with the Victrian idea that "children should be seen and not heard."

Christianity is a very efficient way to make people into sheep. It's no scam, it really works.

I question it all the time, and I try to expand upon my current spiritual conception of the cosmos. I still have that internal feeling that more exists within the world, so... yeah hope that makes sense.

I don't know about religion, but certainly God challenges us to test him for his validity...I did this test many many times throughout my life and God was there each time and now I am indebted to him for my life....But certainly question all you like...Don't doubt what works though....make it work in your life.

YHVH says "come let us reason together'. does that sound like a lack of questioning??

Course not, it was one of the commandments Paul of Tarsus added, Thou shalt not think comes just before, Thou shalt hate women

Question everything but know that answers are not always available to the question.

I came to appreciate the faith better by questioning.
Questioning for answers is encouraged. Fake questions to mock, however, say more about you than God or any believer.
